No, users are not able to renew a book that has been recalled. This policy is in place to keep items in the collection available and accessible to all users. If an item is recalled, please return it before the due date to avoid fines. 

Note: it is strongly recommended that you return library books if you plan to be out of town for an extended period of time. Books may be recalled at any time. Users are responsible for returning any recalled items by their due date.
